National Energy Administration: From January to October, the installed capacity of solar power generation nationwide was about 360 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%
On November 22, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics from January to October.
As of the end of October, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.50 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power is about 350 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%; the installed capacity of solar power generation is about 360 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%.
From January to October, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 3,083 hours, a decrease of 103 hours over the same period of the previous year. Among them, thermal power was 3,619 hours, a decrease of 52 hours over the same period of the previous year; nuclear power was 6,226 hours, a decrease of 245 hours over the same period of the previous year; and wind power was 1,817 hours, a decrease of 10 hours over the same period of the previous year.
From January to October, the power projects of major power generation enterprises in the country completed an investment of 460.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.0%. Among them, solar power generation was 157.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 326.7%. The investment in power grid projects was 351.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%.
