Sungrow Signed A Contract For 200MW Photovoltaic Project In Egypt
2021.May 08
Recently, Sungrow signed an agreement to supply inverter equipment for the 200MW photovoltaic project in Kom Ombo Temple in Egypt. After it is put into operation, the project will become the largest ground-based power station in North Africa. The clean electricity produced can further meet Egypt's growing electricity demand and help Egypt accelerate its low-carbon transformation.

The project is located in the desert area of Kang Ombo Temple in Aswan Province, Egypt. The maximum temperature in summer is close to 60 ℃. The extreme environment of high temperature and high dust requires the inverter equipment to have ultra-high reliability. The investor in this project is the Saudi International Power and Water Company (ACWA Power), which has cooperated with Sungrow for many times, and its business covers 13 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. Engineering General Contracting (EPC) Sterling & Wilson is one of the world's largest solar EPC and operation and maintenance solution providers, and attaches great importance to the quality and performance of engineering construction.

The 200MW power plant signed this time is another 100MW project that Sungrow has won in Egypt.
