On-Grid, it must be connected to the public grid. The solar power generation, the home grid, and the public grid are linked together, which is a power generation system that must rely on the grid to operate.
The On-Grid power station is composed of solar panels and inverters. The output of the solar panels is directly converted into 220V AC power by the inverter and supplies power to household appliances. When the solar power generation exceeds the demand of household appliances on that day, the excess electricity will be used. It is directly transmitted to the power grid company; when the power generation of the power station is not enough to meet the demand for household appliances on that day, the power grid company will automatically supplement it. The whole process is intelligently controlled and does not require manual operation.
Since this photovoltaic power generation system does not need to use batteries, it greatly saves costs. The current national grid-connection policy clearly states that household photovoltaic power stations can be connected to the grid for free, and excess electricity can also be sold to power companies for income. From an investment point of view, the service life of a home photovoltaic power station is generally 25 years, usually 6-8 years can pay back the cost, and the remaining ten years can be completely profitable. Therefore, if you want to save electricity expenses, the grid-connected power generation system is the most suitable, which is also the current mainstream method.
Of course, the On-Grid solar system also has disadvantages, that is, when the public grid is powered off, the photovoltaic power generation will stop running at the same time.
