Vietnam's 450MW photovoltaic project is expected to start construction in the second quarter

Construction of Dau Tieng 5.1 and Dau Tieng 5.2 solar plants is expected to start in the second quarter with an investment of VND 3.56 trillion (US $157 million).
It is understood that the two power plants, with a capacity of 225 MW each, will cover an area of 332.5 hectares on Dau Tieng Lake in the southern province of Tay Ninh and are expected to be completed in April 2023. Both projects will operate for 50 years.
Their investor Xuan Cau Holdings has built another three solar power plants around Douda Lake with a total operating capacity of 500 MW.
Xining now has about 10 solar projects in operation with a total design capacity of 808 MW.
According to the state-owned Vietnam Electricity Company (EVN), Vietnam is one of the top 10 countries with the highest solar power generation at 16,504 MW as of 2021, accounting for 2.3% of the world.
